The government has just released a series of state sector restructuring proposals, including that ERO and NZQA should merge. I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts on it. The merger proposal does explain one odd inclusion in the Education Amendment Bill (no. 4), which required all new regulations by NZQA to be signed off the the Minister (update: well, all but one).
