News 21/4 – Unis Cause Inflation, Still Ask for More

- Unis Cause Inflation Statistics NZ’s latest inflation figures include university fees as one of the big upward movements (6.1%), caused mainly by new student services fees being charged by some universities (plus UCOL – see earlier post). NZUSA is concerned.
- Otago Asks for MoreThe University of Otago is asking for more money. drawing upon comparisons of funding with Australian universities. The ODT also reports on a 20% increase in distance learners for the University.
