  • The Maori King will today open a new building at Bay Of Plenty Polytechnics’s Windermere campus, to house the University of Waikato’s staff in Tauranga. The building is named after Maharaia Winiata, and the link provides detail about his achievements.
  • Following up on the note on the University of Otago’s disciplinary record yesterday, two Virginia students have been arrested in the US for throwing snow.
  • Massey University researchers are saving tuatara by ensuring they get enough UV light, and investigating the health of the Manawatu River.
  • Weltec has Weta, WOW and Logan Brown represented at its graduation.
  • The Industry Training Federation’s newsletter yesterday include a link to the KiaOraMai website – I referred a couple of days ago to NMIT’s launch of the programme, but here is the main site.
